Structural analyses for general industry and shipyards

Cost-effective finite element method (FEM) computations. Design, analysis, evaluation of ships and other structures. Weight optimisation of structural components. Comprehensive evaluations and detailed results. All major loading parameters are represented. Also relatively uncomplicated structures are often best evaluated with FEM calculations.

Important elements and/or possible weaknesses in the design are always considered. These can be, for example: collapse and buckling of panels, shear stresses in way of large openings, stress concentrations at crossing stiffeners, or failures in bolted connections. Structures can also be analysed for conditions with extensive corrosion , and ‘forensic’ calculations can be carried out if things have gone wrong.

Complete and accurate global models

Full 3-dimensional models are developed to study overall structural response and to evaluate critical aspects of the structural design. Rapid, efficient modelling significantly reduces project time and cost. Accurate structural representation includes all major details.

Complex finite element method (FEM) calculations

Design, analysis, evaluation of all sorts of structures and components. Non-linear analyses are carried out when required, with comprehensive evaluations and detailed results.

Graphic modelling

We have a long and ongoing interest in graphic modelling of ships, boats and components. Several software options are available to us, and we can choose an appropriate approach to suit client requirements to output file formats.
